1. TechCabal Battlefield is a competition created and promoted by TechCabal.com.
    2. Employees of TechCabal or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter the competition.
    3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

    5. Closing date for entry will be Wednesday the 5th of February. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
    6. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
    7. The rules of the competition are as follows: Startups that can enter the Battlefield cannot be older than 2 years, must have received less than $200,000 in funding, must have a substantial tech component which is live at the time of competition i.e. corporate website does not count {startups in beta will be allowed in special circumstances if there is a reasonable expectation that they will launch in less than 3 months from the competition}, and must serve Nigerian customers/be based in Nigeria
    8. TechCabal reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of TechCabal’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible.
    9. TechCabal is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
    10. No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
    11. The entries will undergo a pre-selection process by a properly constituted committee of experts. 7 applicants will emerge and proceed to the level of the Faculty. On the final competition day, the 7 contestants will present to an independent panel of 5 judges, after which 3 winners will be chosen.
    12. The judges’ decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
    13. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
    14. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Nigerian law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
    15. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material.
    16. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
    17. By submitting this application, you hereby agree to be bound by the rules of the contest and acknowledge that it is okay to share your application with the Faculty on a confidential basis for the purpose of considering your participation in TechCabal Battlefield. TechCabal reserves the right to apply anonymised data for research purposes. Your information will never be shared with third parties beyond the above.
