According to the International Data Corporation, Windows Phone global market share will see a rise from 3.5% in 2014 to about 6.4% by 2018.

This goes contrary to mobile guru, Tomi Ahonen’s prediction that Windows Phone market share will not grow beyond 5% ever and Microsoft will eventually sell off or kill the Nokia handset unit.
